Should I buy an Android or an iPhone?

Who doesn’t covet an iPhone? Undoubtedly, it is at the acme of status symbols. Its sleek look and myriad of functions and features makes it the crème-de-la-crème of smartphones. Apple offers unique apps like Face Time, Shared Photo Stream, Passbook and iWork. Also, despite the fact that you can install only apps from Apple's App Store and can use a certain range of iTunes, experts still deem the iPhone to be ‘the’ smartphone! Unfortunately, not everyone can afford one.

Remember, that the Android isn’t a phone per se, rather the Linux-based open source OS that runs on the phone. However, the android handsets available now from Samsung, HTC, LG and Motorola in a variety of price ranges have great build and performance, and a full range of smartphone features from email and web browsing, to multimedia playback, apps and games. Android also presents a tantalizing array of convenience with Google Docs, Google Drive, Google+, free productivity apps and Widgets.

Nexus 4 is unanimously desired as it’s a great deal and brilliantly featured, while Samsung Galaxy Note II is adored by many because it’s like a portable computer with hard-core performance and armed with a stylus. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. Available in a diversity of screen sizes and storage ranges, there is surely an android available in your price bracket.

What might be a plus for you might be a no-no for someone else. For some, the 4-inch iPhone 5 screen might not be big enough in comparison with the attractive 5.3-inch screen of Samsung Galaxy Note. Others might consider that the Note is too cumbersome to carry and usurps too much battery.
